NEW DATE DECEMBER 2019 NEW DATE
7237 TUSQUITTEE RD HAYESVILLE NC
The owners of Silver Spurs Stable feel blessed to call this magnificent farm "home" and try to give back to their community. One of their projects is hosting an annual charity horse show with all proceeds going to a local 501(c).
Last year, The Truett's Children Home was the beneficiary of an open show.
In 2019, Rock Bottom Recovery, a group helping addicts get clean and stay clean, has been selected as awardee. Please see link at bottom for more information on this great group.
Taking it up a notch, the annual charity show will now be recognized by both the GDCTA (Georgia Dressage/Combined Training Association) and the NCDCTA (North Carolina Dressage/Combined Training Association) and their respective members will be earning points for end of year awards.
In hope of developing interest in the sport of eventing in North Georgia and West North Carolina, 3-phase Horse Trial will be offered at the entry levels of amoeba and tadpole , with dressage, jumping and cross country scores tallying the winners. In addition, beginner novice to preliminary combined tests will be offered, with dressage and show jumping points adding toward end of year ribbons. Dressage tests will also be offered for those looking for points towards the annual awards, and a Gambler's Choice jump round is offered for those wanting to attempt earning prize money.
Membership in GDCTA or NCDCTA is required for end of year awards but is not mandatory.
